Kyriakos Pierrakakis is a political scientist and computer scientist. He is a graduate of MIT (M.Sc. in Technology Policy), Harvard Kennedy School (M.A. in Public Policy) and the IT department of the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is also a graduate of the Leontio Lyceum of Patissia.
In the past he worked as research director of the independent, non-profit research and analysis organization “diANEOsis”. From this position he coordinated a series of research groups with emphasis on studies that had as main object the economic and productive reconstruction of the country.
He has also worked in research institutes in Greece and abroad on subjects related to technological policy and has served as president of the Youth Institute.
He was born in 1983 in Athens. He is married and has three children.
He speaks English and French.
Secretary-General for Telecommunications and Posts Athanasios Staveris-Polykalas is specialised in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms, data analysis, and Natural Language Processing technologies.
On July 2019 he was appointed an adviser to the Minister of Digital Governance with strong contribution on cybersecurity matters and the implementation of the 112 alert service in cooperation with the Secretariat-General of Civil Protection.
Mr Staveris holds a PhD on High Energy Physics from the University of Athens, a Master’s degree on Applied Physics from the National Technical University of Athens, and an MBA for Executives from Plymouth University.
He has worked on a broad range of ICT projects in the private sector for more than ten years, while he has also worked as a researcher at the CDF experiment in Fermilab, USA through an RTN scholarship and with the cooperation of the INFN Sezione di Pisa.
Nikos Papathanasis is a Mechanical Engineer and member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. He received his B.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto and he continued his education by receiving two post-graduate degrees, Master in Management and Aerospace Engineering.
He commenced work in 1984 at the De Havilland Aircraft Company (now Bombardier Aerospace) in Toronto. He served as a member of the board of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI) and as a member of the board and executive vice president of the Olympic Aviation. He worked for twenty four years as a senior and C level executive at private and public companies in Greece and abroad.
His work experience includes the management of State interest companies as in public transportation companies, namely, CEO of ISAP S.A. (Urban Rail) and President and CEO of Urban Rail Transport S.A. From 2008 to 2010 he was President – elect of the National section of the European Center of Employers and Enterprises (CEEP).
Throughout his thirty five years work experience, he has demonstrated his ability in developing business action reform plans, maturing investments, restructuring and streamlining of companies that led to a significant improvement of their balance sheets.
In July 2019 he was appointed by Prime Minister, K. Mitsotakis, as Deputy Minister of Development and Investments responsible for Industry, Commerce and Consumer Protection. In August 2020 he was appointed as Alternate Minister of Development and Investments responsible for Private Investments and PPPs.
Mr. Leonidas Christopoulos is the Secretary General of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures at the Ministry of Digital Governance. Mr. Christopoulos has worked as an advisor to several Ministers as well as to the President of the governing party on the field of public administration reform.
He has coordinated significant public administration reform projects in Greece such as the reorganization of the Greek Central Administration (2014), the reduction of administrative burdens in several policy areas (2014), the public financial management agenda (2012-2014) and the new law on the Executive State (2019).
Mr. Christopoulos is a civil servant at the Ministry of Finance and a graduate of the National School of Public Administration.
He holds a degree on Political Science and International Relations from Panteion University and an MA in International Political Economy from Warwick University. He speaks English & German.
Giota Paparidou was born on May 4, 1960 in Istanbul and is married. He studied in the United States of America holding a B.Sc. in Informatics and Economics and M.Sc. in applied mathematics.
She has been Private Sector Sales Manager and Consulting Services and Projects Manager at the multinational company Digital Equipment Hellas S.A. In 1994 he founded the company SyNET AEBE in which he was the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director until December 2009.
Since 2003 he has been a member of the Board of Directors. of SEPE holding various positions of responsibility. At the same time, from August 2005 until October 2012 he was a Member of the Board of Directors. of the Information Society S.A., representing SEPE in this organization.
George Karanikas was born in 1956 in Edessa. He has studied Marketing and Business Administration.
His engagement with the community of merchants began in the mid-1990s. In 2000, he was elected president of the Trade Association of Edessa and then assumed the duties of the President of the Federation of Trade Associations of Central and Western Macedonia.
In the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ESEE), he was elected for the first time in 2006 and occupies the position of Vice President.
Since 2009, he has served ESEE as Secretary General, while on November 25, 2018 he was elected President for the first time and was re-elected on November 29, 2021.
He is a member of the General Council of the Bank of Greece and was also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of DYPA (formerly OAED) and Vice-Chairman of the Economic and Social Committee (OKE).
Dr. Bozoudi’s responsibilities as SEB Senior Advisor include issues of digital transformation and cooperation with the academic community.
She has also dealt with regional policy and outreach issues for the organization.
Between 2005-2015 she was the Executive Coordinator of the Business Advisory Council for Southeastern Europe and Eurasia (BAC SEE), representing the international business and investment community in the process of restructuring economies in transition.
She has collaborated with the World Bank, the OECD, the Stability Pact for SA. Europe and the European Commission in initiatives to attract investment, facilitate trade and transport, develop interregional infrastructure, and promote institutional reforms in the Balkans.
She is a graduate of the Universities of Macedonia and George Washington, USA, where he studied political science, international relations and international trade, specializing in economic diplomacy, international organizations and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Mr. Kavalakis is a graduate of the Law School of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Law School of Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London. From July 2019 until August 2020, he served as Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, responsible for Industry and Trade and current Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis.
From the above position, Mr. Kavalakis was the responsible coordinator in working groups that worked on important investments in our country, such as Elliniko, Elefsina Shipyards, Hellenic Sugar Industry and other investment and development issues. At the same time, he participated in the Legislative Committees for the modernization of Company Law and for the reform of Law 4412/2016 on Public Contracts.
Mr. Kavalakis, from 2013 until today, was a manager – partner of the “Kavalakis and Associates Law Firm”, which specializes in Commercial law cases, corporate restructuring, as well as in the support of legal departments of companies and international investment schemes.
Mr. Argyriadis holds the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Network Solution Sales & Marketing Director of Huawei Technologies South Balkan Region with responsibilities covering Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia. He has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, serving from different companies and roles the objectives of the Telecommunications and IT industry.
He has a broad knowledge of issues related to the broadband evolution of providers, the role of the sector for the digital evolution of society, the design of digital connectivity and the enrichment of digital skills in each sector. The introduction of innovative solutions as well as sustainable development are key areas of his occupation from the field of the manufacturer as well as how international practices can lead to the digital transformation of the local society.
Vassilis Argyriadis holds an MSc in Telecommunications from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as well as an MSc in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He also holds a degree in Physics (BSc) from the University of Ioannina.
Michalis Palikaras is an IoT Product Manager at the company Nova with studies in Electronic Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering with postgraduate studies in Communication Systems and Business Administration.
In his professional career, he has been actively involved in the development of new products and services in the market of new technologies, having focused for the last decade on the Internet of Things.

After studying Management Science and Technology, Silia Sideri started working as Customer Advisory expert in the field of Customer Intelligence for SAS Institute covering Greece and Eastern Europe.
Following the acquirement of master’s degree in Business Analytics, for the last 2.5 years she has been working in the sales department of corporate clients as a Data & AI Professional, enabling organizations to effectively host, process, secure, and get insights out of their data through Azure Technologies on Databases, Analytics, Big Data, ML-AI areas
Mr. Timotheatos is head of the OTE Group’s B2B Partnering & Business Development Sub-Directorate and is responsible for Digital Services and Digital Contact Channels with Corporate clients as well as managing the relationship with Strategic Partners for this purpose.
Earlier, he worked at Vodafone in various managerial positions in Marketing, both in Greece and abroad (Vodafone Group).
He is a graduate of the Physics Department of the University of Patras and has a Masters in Informatics from the University of Bradford (U.K) and in Business Administration from ALBA.
Athanasios Kyriazis is a Professor at the Department of Statistics and Insurance Sciences at the University of Piraeus in the field of Applied Mathematics and New Technologies. He has graduated from the Department of Mathematics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a PhD degree from the same Department.
He has been a visiting researcher in Universities and Research Centers in the U.S.A. and Europe.
He has taught a significant number of courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as in training programs.
He has supervised Doctoral Dissertations and Master’s theses, and has participated in several research programs as the Project Leader.
His academic work includes four monographs, eight university textbooks and a great number of scientific publications and papers in international and Greek journals and in conference proceedings.
He is an active participant in International and National Conferences and Seminars while he has been the national representative in a significant number of European and international institutions and working groups.
In addition, he has participated in Ministerial Councils, meetings, official visits and international collaborations.
He has served for several years as the General Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs as well as the Special Secretary for Higher Education at the same Ministry.
Finally, he has been a consultant in companies and Institutions in relation to educational and training subjects.
Antonis Stasis holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. In addition, he has two specialization postgraduate diplomas a) in Public Administration and b) in Economics and Administration.
He has been the head of Departments and Directorates in the Ministries of Administrative Reconstruction and Digital Governance with the subject of Digital Transformation and Electronic Government, Public Administration systems support, Electronic Identification, Interoperability, the Central Electronic Document Handling System, Procurement, Building Infrastructures, Material Management, the implementation and management of NSRF and Recovery Fund projects. He is certified by the PM2 Alliance Organization at the Advanced level for PM2 Methodology, by Microsoft in Azure Fundamental, among others.
Important actions he has coordinated are: the Electronic Invoicing in Public Contracts, the E-Government Service Provision Framework, the KEP information system, Transparency, the Human Resources Register, the National Portal for the Codification and Reform of Greek Legislation “Raptarchis”, the network “Syzeuxis”, the Greek Public Certification Authority for digital signatures, open data and Data Governance. At the same time, recently he has been involved in the Greek network of European hubs for digital innovation and digital skills.
At the same time, he has worked on Technical Assistance actions provided by DG Reform of the European Commission in security of information systems, IT Service Management, liquid fuel monitoring, upgrade of Operational Resource Management systems of the Ministry of Finance and the AADE.
He has worked as a Laboratory Associate at the former TEI Piraeus and has many years of educational experience at the National School of Public Administration and Self-Government, while he holds a degree in Technological Education (ASPAITE). He has over 26 Publications in international scientific journals and conferences.
Vassilis Karkatzounis LL.M., PhD.(c) is a lawyer specializing in New Technologies issues and legal advisor to the Secretary General of Telecommunications and Posts of the Ministry of Digital Governance.
He deals with a wide range of legal issues mainly related to the fields of telecommunications, internet, cyber security and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.
Giorgos Verdi is a European policy advisor for the European DIGITAL SME Alliance, a network representing 45,000 technology start-ups and SMEs in the European Union.
At the same time, he is the coordinator of Focus Group AI, an initiative of DIGITAL SME and the Joint Research Center of the European Commission for the study of the development of artificial intelligence.
He has participated as a Youth Expert in a Council of Europe consultation on the impact of artificial intelligence on young people and has published scientific papers in Greece and Belgium.
He graduated with honors from the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus and received his master’s degree in European Diplomacy from the College of Europe in Bruges.
Mr. Tassis is a Lawyer with specialization (LLM) and a long practice dealing with IT, Electronic Communications, Internet and Personal Data Law issues.
He has prepared, with his team, a large number of projects for preparation and compliance with the relevant legislation in the private and public sector while he has advised the Ministry of Infrastructure in the process of integrating the NIS Directive (Network and Information Systems) as well as the Ministry of Digital Governance in the preparation impact assessment for online Government services and Cyber Security issues.
He is the President of the Association for the Protection of Personal Data and Privacy (www.dataprotection.gr), a member of the Board of Directors of the European Federation of DPOs, a collaborator of the Scientific Group of Informatics Law of the University of Macedonia and al. member of the Artificial Intelligence Committee for Justice of the Ministry of Justice, while he has been a founding member and co-chair of the Greek Chapter of IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals).
He teaches as a visiting lecturer the legal issues of IT, the Internet and Personal Data, is a member of the BSE working group for the compliance of companies with the GDPR and is a specialist trainer/examiner in the training programs of the DSA for the General Regulation.

Mr. Myron Flouris is Associate Director of the Business Development Department of Ernst & Young. He was also a Senior Manager at KPMG’s Business Consulting. He has many years of professional experience in the field of investment and financial services, assuming positions of responsibility at National Bank as Head of Private Banking – Securities Services Business Development and Head of Innovation in the Digital Transformation Division. He has also been the Director of Marketing and Branch Network of P&K Stock Exchange.
